A Superb Dingley for Edminson of Alnwick 3 1/4" St. George pattern with nickel line guard, reel retains virtually all its original dark finish, with rare retailer stamp and rarely seen nickel guard, the nickel guard solder joint is visible but looks to be visible from production, no burns or grooving, very good tight spindle, stamped D7. A superb example to fish or collect.

A superb named W H Dingley 3 7/8" St. George pattern grilse/sea trout fly reel retaining most of its original silvery lead finish, with only a few minor marks. A truely rare reel with the master makers details to the reverse (see photo).

A super Robert Turnbull of Edinburgh 3 1/2" pillared core trout fly reel. I have put this reel in the Dingley reel section as I think it will appeal to the Dingley reel user. It is in fact built by Reuben Heatons but is similar to the pillared core reels produced by Dingley. The rel is in very good condition with no cracks or wobble, just a few minor rubs and scratches to the leaded finish and a few minor marks to the back of the drum edge (see photo), also some very light line brush marks to the underside of one pillar but very minor(do not show up on photo) . A truely super example with the sweetest and crispest check. The buyer will not be dissapointed.

A superb Walker Bampton 4" St. George pattern salmon fly reel with a strong crisp rim adjusted check. Reel retains most of its original lead and laquered finish with a few small marks and rubs, Core of drum has some staining/tarnish but no rot. Stamped to foot drum and frame with the number 3. overall a superb example.

A rare 6" Dingley Sea Silex pattern big game reel. Reel internally stamped D1936. The reel retains most of its original light leaded colour. The original bickerdyke line guard has been removed and there are a few marks by the rim where the guard once sat, also brake pad has a split (see photo) A few minor marks to the drum core but unusually light for a sea reel. Otherwise the reel is in super condition.

An extreamly rare 4" Dingley built for Allcocks "The Atholl" silex type spinning reel.

This reel is formally from the collection of Stuart Tod and appears in the book "D is for Dingley" page 112. Although not in the best condition and missing the ivorine handle to the end of one of the brake levers, it is an extreamly rare reel. There is some heavy boat ash to the drum core and some marking to the front rim.
