A fine 3 1/8" J W Youngs pattern 15A trout fly reel stamped Alex Martin "The Club"

. Reel is in fine condition with a good nickel line guard (no grooves), the reel is fitted with a fine rim adjusted check. The reel is in good condition retaining a small amount of its original celluloid finish, As you can see from the photos this has worn a fair amount but as many will know the Youngs black finish was never the best. Overall a fine reel.

(slightly higher than I would have given to another makers reel but this takes into account the poor celluloid finishes that Youngs put on their reels)

A fine wide drum J W Young built Pattern 15a 4" Allcock's Marvel salmon reel with nickel line guard. Reel in good working order with rim adjusted check, stamped with Allcocks details and Marvel reel to the rear of the reel. usual paint wear common with these Young's built reels also some of the nickel plate has rubbed from the line guard, although no grooving (see photo), minor mark to front rim. Overall a fine reel in scarce size.

A fine J W Young built Pattern 5 4" wide drum salmon reel for J Sharpe of Aberdeen with nickel plated line guard, reel is in good condition withusual light paint wear from use. Stamped with Sharpes detail to the reverse, fixed duplicated check. fitted with a nickel plated line guard. Some of the nickel plating has rubbed off from use but no grooving. Overall a fine and scarce reel.
